Having a page entitled “My palmares” might seem pretentious, but that’s one thing I can’t be accused of being!

I have decided to keep a record of the events I’ve completed for my own interest, to see my progression.

As time has passed, I’ve started moving from being a “completer” to more of a “competer”. I’ve come a long way, and have more to go.

The progression that I’m proudest of is undoubtedly my 20 minute improvement year on year at the Polar Night Half Marathon. The event is held in Tromso (northern Norway in the Arctic circle) and run in the afternoon in the pitch black on snow and ice. The route is lit with  oil burners, and this is by far and away the most quirky event I’ve competed in.

Close behind this is the improvement in my half marathon times. My first time was a little over 2 hours 3 years ago, and I’m now targeting 01:45 at the Surrey Half in March 2018.
